The exhibit design, in line with PMopenlab's mission and the themes of the Congress and Urban Review (impact reduction, ecological transition, digital transition), was designed and implemented in both digital and physical modes, using only recyclable materials (honeycomb cardboard panels, 3D printed joint with biodegradable plastic) and totally dry (through the use of connecting screws).
In addition, the entire set-up, was 100% recycled.
Forty-two percent of the structures were handed over to INU, the Emilia Romagna Region, and participating municipalities to repurpose parts of the exhibition at their sites. The remaining 58 percent, on the other hand, was donated to DumBO to set up social recycling workshops with children.
